Enterprise Data Integration (EDI)

EDI runs on the CAIRS OSS server. As CAIRS users administer to the CAIRS database, EDI aggregates database changes and sends them to a master enterprise database real-time. EDI authenticates the data source from each site and then sends it real time to the master enterprise database. EDI provides the enterprise level with real time site data for enterprise management responsibilities. EDI also provides an environment where site wide daily functions are not interrupted by network outages between the site and and the enterprise management level. As soon as outages are resolved, EDI aggregates all of the site data changes that occurred during the network outage and updates the master enterprise database.
